Steve's fathers'-rights rooftop protest goes tragically wrong when he falls off the roof. But as his distraught girlfriend cradles his broken body, Steve's costume - angel wings - lends him a life of its own. While his girlfriend maintains a hospital vigil, angel Steve - now invisible - visits his estranged daughter Kiera. To his delight she can see him, and they strike up a friendship in the shadow of Steve's ex-wife. But soon his behaviour is raising suspicion. At the hospital it becomes clear why he was denied access to Kiera, and even now his violent secret prevents his final redemption.
