King Saul receives disturbing news about his army's weapons. Disturbed by the news, Saul blames Jonathan for what happened. The king is warned of the approach of enemies and asks his army to wait for the right moment. In conversation with Laísa, Kayla is confident in the victory of the Philistines. Jehoiada is not accepted by Abner, but goes to Saul.
