Elisabeth Richard investigates the murder of Caroline Autiero in Maussane, in the Alpilles mountains. The young woman was photographing ancient ruins when she was shot in the head. Accompanied by Paul Jansac, Elisabeth questions Laurent, Caroline's husband, who owns an olive oil mill. He seems devastated by the news. On surveillance footage, investigators discover that Laurent and his wife had a violent argument a few days earlier.
