A rainy autumn has arrived, blanketting Naples with clouds and fog. During the week of the Dead, the body of a child is found. His name is Matteo, or Tettè to those who knew him. One of the many street urchins who live by their wits in the alleys of the city. At first glance he seems to have died of starvation but Ricciardi soon discovers that maybe the death was a poisoning and is on the case.
