The Haughs O' Cromdale Is Fake News (2018x54)

A battle was fought on the Haughs of Cromdale on the 30th May 1690 as part of the First Jacobite Rising of 1689 - 1692 which sought to place James II on the English throne and oust the Dutch Willem III and his wife Mary. In folk circles the battle is famous as a very popular Highland tune was written about it - although the lyrics don't quite match the historical record...
