The Kapp Putsch of 1920 (2018x7)

By 1920, Germany had been transformed from an authoritarian monarchist state under the Kaiser to a republic with a democratically elected parliament and president. However, not all Germans were pleased with the new changes, in fact the majority either wished for totally different, Communist-oriented government or for a return to the way things were under the Kaiser. Supporters of the latter could be found aplenty in the Freikorps, roving bands of semi-official war veterans ridding the country of its socialist and communist would-be revolutionaries. However when they were ordered to disband some of their most elite units, they instead marched on Berlin and kicked off what would become known as the Kapp Putsch on March 13th 1920.
