Hakuro learns that Shoko, Akito’s aunt, has disappeared after leaving behind a farewell note, just like Akito. Shoko’s daughter asks for Hakuro’s help in finding her, but initially he is unwilling to do so because Shoko treated his own mother so badly in the past. Eventually though his curiosity gets the best of him and he decides to search the room of Shoko’s husband’s. There he comes across something astonishing, but just then someone sneaks up behind him and clamps a hand over his mouth…
