Julie loves her best friend Trine; they do everything together. But Trine has begun to take an interest in a little more adult stuff than Julie, and when it starts a new girl in their class, Julie slowly starts to get frozen out from everything and everyone - including Mikkel, whom Julie is in love with. At the same time Julie has a lot of problems at home. Her parents have separated after her father has worked abroad for several years. One day he returns and tries to reconnect with Julie and her mother again. It isn't easy. Julie is angry at him for leaving her and her mother. All at once, Julie has to win back her best friend, overcome her own anger towards the father, and get him back together with the mother.
