The wilderness erodes both body and soul, and the remaining couples struggle to persevere. One of the finalists gets sluggish and has to stay in the sleeping bag while the partner tries to keep his spirits up. In another couple, the lack of food grows so much that they go on a rampage in the terrain in hopes of finding something other than fish.
