Young pop singer Nicky and her fiancé Mike (who is also her guitarist) regularly feature on the cover of Salut Les Copains magazine, recently founded in 1962. When Mike is found murdered, Nicky is devastated. She cancels all her concerts, putting her career in jeopardy. Laurence finds himself investigating in circles for which he has nothing but contempt: a record company with its pop artists. Then Nicky’s producer hears Alice Avril’s wonderful voice and decides to make her a star, the new sensation!
