One year after the "yellow jackets" crisis, have tax reforms created jobs and improved the economic situation of French people and companies? While many complain of paying too much tax, are they being well used? Emmanuel Macron abolished the wealth tax (ISF) in favour of a tax on real estate wealth before creating the PFU, the single flat-rate levy, which was supposed to reduce taxation on financial income. François Hollande created the CICE, the Tax Credit for Competitiveness and Employment. But these reforms, which were supposed to promote employment and economic growth, have above all contributed to tax injustice for many French people. These tax measures amount to billions of euros less each year in the coffers of the State.
