The UN adopted the Nuclear Ban Treaty this year, and ICAN, which contributed to its adoption, was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. But Japan, the only nation attacked by atomic bombs, is against the treaty. How can Japan be a bridge between nuclear and non-nuclear weapons states?
