ARTE Concert
Pocket Party: Damien Rice (2018x2)
Air date: Apr 28, 2020
Damien Rice's concert at the Olympia last December 11 had left us hungry: too much talk and not enough involvement. We would have done a catch-up session with the Pocket Party organized the next day by the Blogothèque. Too bad (and it's not for lack of trying ...) We consoles the vision of this appointment timeless and moving (tears have flowed in the audience), in a Paris apartment. Between two asides in French, the songwriter folk spoils us with The Greatest Bastard (from My Favourite Faded Fantasy, his third and last album to date), Back To Her Man (his homage to Leonard Cohen, with nice participation of the public) and the grandiose Trusty and True and It takes A Lot To Know A Man with the Cantus Domus choir. And as a bonus gift: The Blower's Daughter (from O, the first LP released in 2002).
