1996 had John Travolta starring as George Malley, an average, everyday joe that suddenly gains the ability to be super smart and move things with his mind, but instead of becoming the next X-Men or member of the Avengers, he decides to woo Kyra Sedgwick's character...which he was trying to do before he had abilities anyway.
