I will always remember my first day of school. My dad walked me into the classroom and told me my name is Curtis not Khoa. I have never heard of the name Curtis before but apparently it was my American name. I sat at my table and the teacher passed out paper and pencil. She told all of us to write our name if we can. I wrote down Khoa but quickly erased it to write Curtis. I brushed the eraser shavings to the side and some of it landed on the girl that was sitting next to me. I guess she didn't like that because she stood up and pushed me over to the ground. The kid next to me looked at me as I was laying on the floor. He told me he missed him mom. He cried. My teacher told me to get off the floor. I cried. Why is my name Curtis? What am I doing here? Can I have the Wifi password? What is the meaning of life?
