James Gunn and Guardians of the Galaxy might be in the headlines these days for very different reasons, but just a few years ago they were introduced to the world and helped turn Chris Pratt into a global phenomenon. People instantly fell in love with Peter Quill AKA Star-Lord as well as Gamora, Drax, Rocket and of course Groot. Although we all know and love these Marvel characters now, can you imagine how weird it must have been to actually pitch the first movie? A talking tree that just says his own name? A foul-mouthed gun-toting racoon?
