Maddie is hit with painful revelations about Charlotte and Nyla, leaving her world in a tailspin, made even worse by a devastating discovery. Wes tries to fix the sins of his brother, but ends up making a terrible situation worse. Cynthia is distraught after a recent confession does not have its intended effect, and leads to major life changes. Maddie and Wes come clean about their feelings for each other. And in a shocking development, someone suffers a relapse in their fight against addiction. Flashbacks highlight Cynthia’s decision to start a new sober life in California.
