Jose and Annette love plants, but for this pair of plant scientists, the vegetation in their backyard is purely theoretical. Steve and Nick Rhule's plan is to integrate the house and yard by creating a gorgeous hardscape and garden where the entire family can comfortably hang out. Giant stone benches frame a flagstone patio complete with a metal firebowl, and a massive rock and driftwood waterfall that collects the home's rainwater take this space over the top.
