Living in a community of Fundamentalist Mormons at Rockland Ranch, Abel Morrison has three wives and 11 children; Abel's third wife, Marina, is pregnant, and second-wife Beth begins to harbor resentment.

After a 9 year battle with cancer, Abel's brother has passed away, leaving behind wives Malinda, Anazella and their 7 children. Abel is left grappling with the loss and a predicament - whether or not to abide by Jim's dying wish to marry his widows.
