OK GANG (obnoxious), I'm making a short documentary for my university degree and decided to upload some of the VERY ROUGH footage which answers a LOT of your Tumblr questions! This is nowhere NEAR the finished piece, just some insight into my BIG GAY WORLD. It also proves that I can be ONE SERIOUS BITCH when I have to be, without laughing at poo jokes. God, I'm so glad I'm not one of those lesbians who talks about being gay all the time. I really hate those chicks. Here's the synopsis for my documentary: A 15-minute documentary presenting a personal account of life as a homosexual young adult and the relationships I cultivate. I shall explore whether bisexuality merely serves as a transitional identity, address the issues surrounding self-identification, and determine if sexuality would be fluid if not for repression, religion, repugnance, shyness, lack of opportunity and premature specialisation. I shall discuss how homosexuality is represented within popular culture, the hardships of 'coming out' to friends and family, in addition to the prejudices that continue to lead to suicide. All the while, I will strive to break preconditioned perceptions of homosexuals and rupture the stereotypes associated with being gay. In coalition with the It Gets Better Project, I aim to reach global audiences via YouTube and the Internet to give others the confidence they need to live a life free from shame and denial, through my story and the stories of the people around me.
