When he arrives in Algiers, the French police ask Mike's assistance to recover what was actually stolen from the train - $250,000 in American dollars. Mike pretends to escape from the local constabulary and is contacted by the gang who take him to the Casbah to negotiate a deal to convert the cash into French francs.
