In Tokyo, women seek to earn money and use it as a means of connection, while embracing their own struggles and ideals. Nineteen-year-old college student Yuki is one such woman. In exchange for money, she works as a rental girlfriend, all while hiding the scars on her face. Yuki's (Ai Yoshikawa) friend Rina (Mayuu Yokota) falls into a bout of depression when she learns about her boyfriend's wife. To fill the void this created, Rina hooks up with two college students who approached her, but she can only lay in the hotel bed after sleeping with them - she has unquenchable loneliness in her heart. Rina had been filling this void by having physical relationships with sugar daddies. In a fit of loneliness, Rina messages Iida (Yu Kamio), a sugar daddy she had ghosted for a while, striking up a relationship with him again. Rina then introduces Yuki, her best friend, to Iida. But Iida asks Yuki to help him choose a birthday present for Rina. Meanwhile, Rina runs into Yudai (Sora Inoue), one of the college students she hooked up with. They start talking and Rina and Yudai go on another date. As her birthday approaches, who will fill Rina's loneliness?

When Rina (Mayuu Yokota) learns from her club activity friends that Yuki (Ai Yoshikawa) is working in the adult entertainment industry, she distrusts Yuki, saying that she was kept in the dark despite being friends. Meanwhile, Iida (Yu Kamio) invites Yuki to shop for a present for Rina together, but ends up asking her to have relations with him. When Yuki firmly refuses, Iida tells her that he will end his relationship with Rina as well. As Rina distances herself from Yuki and her relationship with Iida is cut off, her loneliness deepens and she turns to Yudai for help. When Yudai meets up with Rina, he asks her about the situation and urges her to make up with Yuki. Rina makes up her mind to meet Yuki, but Yuki has also made up her mind about something.

Aya (Misato Ugaki) is a deceptive young woman in her twenties who works at the same rental girlfriend agency as Yuki (Ai Yoshikawa) and has undergone multiple plastic surgeries. Obsessed with her own outward appearance, she inwardly belittles that of her customers and the women around her as she works to pay for more plastic surgery. When talks of marriage with her boyfriend Kosei (Shodai Fukuyama) arise, she calculates the amount of money that she will need for the procedure she wants to have done in time for the wedding. However, when she comes up short, she must turn to someone for help. Meanwhile, Yuki receives an appointment from Tsubasa (Yutaro), who is interested in makeup, asking her to pick out cosmetics with him. As their shopping date unfolds, Tsubasa finds himself feeling more and more at ease around Yuki.

Kosei (Shodai Fukuyama) finally finds out about Aya's (Misato Ugaki) rental girlfriend gig. That's when Tsubasa, who bought makeup with Yuki, makes an appointment with Aya. Aya grows frustrated with Tsubasa, who is terrible at putting on makeup, however, when he cries and says that he just wants to become beautiful, Aya has no choice but to help him out. Tsubasa is awestruck after seeing how it enhances his features, and the sight of him reminds Aya of when she first had a cosmetic procedure done. Later, Kosei corners Aya into telling him the entire truth about her job.

Aya (Misato Ugaki) is fired from the rental girlfriend store and she stumbles into Yuki (Ai Yoshikawa) on her way home. The two of them start talking and they go to a bar. Feeling down with no job or boyfriend, Aya confides in Yuki. Yuki then tells Aya about how she got the scar on her face, and Aya gives sympathetic advice. Eventually, the two leave the bar and head to the seashore. With Yuki by her side, Aya looks back on her life and gains confidence in her life choices. Meanwhile, Rina's (Mayuu Yokota) college club friend Moe (Yumena Yanai) has no confidence in her appearance and does not know where she belongs, yet she has a strong belief that she is different from others. At the bar Moe frequents, she meets Tsubasa (Yutaro), who recently started working there, and Yua (Nagisa Saito), who is addicted to host clubs.

Yua (Nagisa Saito) invites Moe (Yumena Yanai) to visit a host club for the first time. Yua’s used to the host club scene, but Moe feels uncomfortable and has trouble enjoying her first visit. Then, in comes Kaede (Akira Takano), one of the hosts. He seems different from the other hosts, which helps Moe relax. Meanwhile, Yua is bothered that her favorite host, Haruhi (Itsuki Fujiwara), was also requested by another girl, causing tension. At the end of the night, Moe feels quite content as she skips back to her favorite bar, while Yua waits at home for Haruhi to get off work. The story of two girls and their hosts is about to unfold.
