A psychic offers to contact Judson's old friend Cap. A team of rogue hunters led by Kincaid follow them with the advantage they have an in with the local government official. We find out Andro and Kincaid are in cahoots and Andro plants an artifact on the ship to get Judson's permit revoked and Kincaid in charge of the ship. The team figures out Andro is a fake and stage a fight so Mac can get on board, get them on board, and reposition the ship with the aid of a fake island.

The Liverpool Flyer is a sailing ship that sank in Jackson's Cove on 8 August 1787. Judson wants to stop the proposed construction of a residential site. Judson is attacked and left to die alone in a cave. His mind becomes blurred between reality and the past fate of the Liverpool Flyer. Semi-conscious, the reality is the rising tide in the cave and the dream is of the chance to change history and save the ship from being wrecked on the rocks.

Judson and the team get hired by an insurance company to find Victoria, a missing anthropologist and old girlfriend of Judson's. Their guide gets killed and then miraculously resurrected by a boy, Faran, of the local Sauro tribe. A local gang follows the team to get a hold of the death benefits and they all meet Victoria who faked her kidnapping to get the money to save the village. Victoria is poisoned and Judson uses the same miraculous ritual to bring her back and the death benefits go to the boy to save the village.

Seeking to clear their names, the investigation takes them after a ring owned by a Baron Wainright. The team is looking for the Sacred Chalice and the treasure of Cavaliere Piamonte on behalf of the Vatican when Brother John (from "The Angel of St. Edmunds") shows up. They also run into Don Nicosia who warns them off and whose daughter is attracted to John. The team track the treasure to a tombstone and are attacked and the tombstone stolen. They manage to track it from a fragment to the Don's land but John gets captured by the Don's men – when they meet with him, the Don is amenable to turning over the treasure in return for his name on the donation, but the local police chief and his men, descendents of the templars, intend that no one gets the treasure.
