January 1930, a cold winter evening. Willie is laboring over a stack of unpaid bills, while Aunt Vie is engrossed in the newspaper of the Funeral Directors' Association. Aunt Vie has set her sights on becoming the first female chairperson of the local branch of the Belgian Funeral Directors' Association. However, the innocent creature brings no luck to tanteke and she sinks deeper into despair. It's summer and work is scarce. Laziness and boredom take over. A death at the seaside provides the perfect opportunity for a relaxing trip. Soon, Tante Vie and Willie are sunbathing on the beach.
