Søren Vejby wants to know why he finds it so difficult to get off the cocaine, and how big the risk of a relapse really is? During a visit to some of the country's leading brain researchers, he is tested in a 'lie detector', which reveals that his nervous system has far from put the cocaine behind it. Søren meets a man of the same age who, like himself, thought he was done with cocaine - but then he fell back into it with a bang! After this, Søren goes to inner Vesterbro in Copenhagen to document how easy it is to get hold of the material on an ordinary Friday afternoon.

Søren Vejby pursues the criminal trail of cocaine. And the trail starts where he himself once bought the drug: the so-called 'white couriers' who deliver cocaine to the door, much like if you ordered a pizza. Søren goes to work with a white man who works as a school teacher during the day, but who supplements his income by selling cocaine in the evenings and at weekends. Søren then follows the trail of the cocaine one step deeper into the underworld. He has made contact with a 'gangster' who wants to introduce him to how the raw cocaine is mixed up in order to increase the income from sales.

Søren Vejby got out of his cocaine addiction before it really went wrong. But not everyone is so lucky: Søren's journey continues into the world of hardcore addicts. The first stop is the Men's Home in Vesterbro, where he visits the drug addict Micki, who has to inject himself with cocaine 20-40 times a day to keep the abstinence at bay. Afterwards, Søren makes the trip to Odense, home to Denmark's most raw and brutal drug scene. Here he meets a prostitute who was held captive and tortured for four days because of a minor drug debt.

Søren Vejby follows cocaine's criminal trail into Europe. This brings him to Hamburg, where large quantities of cocaine are smuggled in by cargo ships. Søren takes up a job with the harbor police, scanning and searching containers suspected of containing cocaine. Then the course goes to Antwerp, which is Europe's 'leading' cocaine city. Here Søren meets a dealer who started out small, but ended up selling cocaine for one of the big drug cartels. The trip back to Denmark takes place in the company of a former drug courier, who instructs Søren in how to smuggle the cocaine across the Danish border without being detected.

Søren Vejby follows cocaine's dangerous trail all the way back to the 'source' in Colombia, which is one of the world's largest producers of the drug. The country is paying a huge price for the Western world's cocaine consumption, and the authorities are devoting enormous resources to fighting the drug cartels, which control parts of the country and contribute to murder, kidnapping and corruption. Søren takes the police's heavily armed special units on a mission to wipe out coca plants. And it is definitely not without risk - because the day before, a policeman was killed during a similar mission!
