Gardaí move to arrest Linda, Charlotte and Kathleen. Kathleen flees the country, abandoning her two daughters. Linda and Charlotte’s trial is a media frenzy as its gory details are revealed to the court. Charlotte is found guilty of murder while provocation reduces Linda’s conviction to manslaughter.
