Jeremy Hotz (born May 31, 1963[1] in Cape Town, South Africa) is a Canadian actor and stand-up comedian. He has appeared on Comedy Central Presents, the Just For Laughs comedy festival, The Late Show with David Letterman, and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. He has also worked as a staff writer for Paramount's The Jon Stewart Show and has appeared in various American and Canadian motion pictures including: My Favorite Martian, Speed 2: Cruise Control, and Married Life.

The roastmasters were his close personal friends from Blue Collar Comedy Tour and Blue Collar TV: Bill Engvall, Ron White, and Larry the Cable Guy. He was roasted by Nick DiPaolo, Lisa Lampanelli, Greg Giraldo, Colin Quinn, Denis Leary, Jay Mohr, Steve Bridges as U.S. President George W. Bush, Christian Finnegan, Gilbert Gottfried as Jeff's cow, Heidi Klum, Patrice Oneal, Anna Nicole Smith, and G.E. Smith. The hip-hop group B.A.M.A. also performed their cover of "Sweet Home Alabama"

Joel Gallen was the program's Executive Producer; Aaron Matthew Lee was the Head Writer. Anderson was roasted by Jimmy Kimmel, who was the roast master, as well as Courtney Love, Adam Carolla, Bea Arthur, Nick DiPaolo, Greg Giraldo, Elon Gold, Eddie Griffin, Lady Bunny, Lisa Lampanelli, Tommy Lee, Jeffrey Ross, Sarah Silverman, Andy Dick as her plastic surgeon, and a pre-taped appearance by David Spade.

It was rebroadcast on June 6, 2009. His roast was Executive Produced by Joel Gallen, with Aaron Matthew Lee serving as Head Writer. Jason Alexander acted as roastmaster with Andy Dick (as the "love child" of James Kirk and Spock), Farrah Fawcett, Greg Giraldo, Lisa Lampanelli, Artie Lange, Nichelle Nichols, Patton Oswalt, Kevin Pollak, Jeffrey Ross, George Takei, Betty White, and Fred Willard performing the roasting duties. Special, pre-taped, guest appearances were made by Leonard Nimoy, Sandra Bullock, Ben Stiller, Sarah Silverman, Jimmy Kimmel, and Clint Howard. The Leonard Nimoy sequence which originally opened the broadcast on Comedy Central (Nimoy and Shatner were shown having an argument over the phone) was omitted from the DVD release, while many pre-taped sequences and jokes told during the roast itself were added back in after originally being cut. Many celebrities were shown prominently in the audience, including Adrian Zmed, David Carradine, Brent Spiner, Jeri Ryan, Rene Auberjonois, Rosalind Chao, Mark Valley, Carrie Fisher, Scott Hamilton, country music star Brad Paisley, Reno 911! stars Cedric Yarbrough and Niecy Nash, and stand-up comedian Brian Posehn. Women dressed as green Orion slave girls can be clearly seen tending bar. The tagline for this roast was: "The Shat hits the fan."

It was hosted by comedian Katt Williams. The Roasters were Ice-T, Jimmy Kimmel, Snoop Dogg, Greg Giraldo, Patton Oswalt, Lisa Lampanelli, Jeffrey Ross, Carrot Top, Sommore, and Brigitte Nielsen. Celebrities such as the cast of Flavor of Love, Ron Jeremy, Nicole "Coco" Austin , and Chyna were in the audience.

Saget's Full House co-star John Stamos was the roastmaster. The roast included Susie Essman, Greg Giraldo, Brian Posehn, Jim Norton, Jeff Garlin as fictional Full House executive producer Saul Schwartz (though he broke character at the end), Gilbert Gottfried, Jon Lovitz, Norm Macdonald, Cloris Leachman, and Jeffrey Ross.[5] Pre-taped appearances were delivered by Sarah Silverman, Lewis Black, and Don Rickles. Full House co-stars Lori Loughlin, Jodie Sweetin, and Dave Coulier were shown in the audience along with Growing Pains star Alan Thicke, Rex Lee of Entourage and Quantum Leap star Scott Bakula throughout the roast. Artie Lange did not show at the roast because he had entered a rehabilitation center.

For the first time Lisa Lampanelli was the Roastmaster.[9] On February 12, 2009, the roasters were announced to include Nick DiPaolo, Jeff Foxworthy, Greg Giraldo, Toby Keith, Jeffrey Ross, Reno Collier, Maureen McCormick, Warren Sapp, and Gary Busey. Bill Engvall made a pre-taped appearance. This was the first time that a roast was broadcast in high-definition.

Comedy Central has secured one of Hollywood's most notorious bad boys. The network has announced that Charlie Sheen will be the next Roastee. The Comedy Central Roast of Charlie Sheen (#SheenRoast) will tape in Los Angeles on Saturday, September 10. The Roast will premiere on Comedy Central on Monday, September 19 at 10/9c and will feature Roast Master Seth MacFarlane."You could say I've been providing kindling for this Roast for a while," said Sheen. "It's time to light it up. It's going to be epic." "Charlie has assured us that nothing will be off limits in this Roast... which scares even us," said Kent Alterman, head of original programming and production, Comedy Central. Although known more recently for his infamous rants about the trials and tribulations of becoming a Vatican Assassin, Charlie has had a long an auspicious career. Born into a show business family, he had his first role as an extra in his father, Martin Sheen's, movie "The Execution of Private Slovik". Although he originally pursued a career in professional baseball, Charlie found fame early with his role in the 80's classic "Red Dawn". A versatile actor, Charlie went on to star in such blockbusters as "Ferris Bueller's Day Off", "Wall Street", "Hot Shots" and "Platoon". He took over the Michael J. Fox vehicle "Spin City" and later starred for eight seasons on the CBS hit "Two and A Half Men", his departure from the show went largely unnoticed.

Comedy Central is rolling out the red carpet for the multi-hyphenated jack-of-all-trades James Franco. It will be executive produced by Miles Levy and Joel Gallen from Tenth Planet Productions, who also served as Executive Producer and Director of the Comedy Central Roasts Of Rosanne Barr, Charlie Sheen, and Donald Trump, as well as the Emmy®-nominated Comedy Central Roast Of William Shatner.

Sean Hayes serves as roast master as it is Alec Baldwin’s turn in the hot seat. Robert De Niro, Jeff Ross, and Caitlyn Jenner among others take jabs at the actor/comedian.
