In the USA, we meet 46-year-old Apryl Brown, who wanted silicone injections to improve the shape of her buttocks. She opted to have them done on the blackmarket, a decision she would live to regret. She was injected with bathroom sealant, which caused a massive infection that resulted in her losing her arms and legs. Shenise Farrell wanted a permanent change of eye colour. As the procedure is not licensed in Europe, she took a risk and decided to have the surgery done in Panama, paying £8,000 for the privilege.
