Kaun? Who Did It?

Being a righteous person with high values of integrity and honesty comes with a price. Retired police officer Adi Bhagat had to face fatal consequences regarding the same. When Adi's past came back, it came like Pandora's box. One by one, each aspect of the evidence and the suspects pushed Adi back to his past. When Adi was the closest to the truth, he got shot by Karmath Thind. While he was admitted to the hospital because of this, Malini grew distant from him. It was not intended, but it was brought to Malini's realization that her parents were killed by Adi

With Adi's help, Malini was able to track down the one who was actually guilty of killing her parents (including herself) but she was saved because of Adi's unexpected intervention. Because of this Malini brought down an International Spy Ring and got rewarded with a promotion and a Medal for Excellence in Investigation. Adi is happy and proud of Malini but when she comes to meet him, she modestly confesses that he is the one who deserves this and not her.

Asha Kapoor, producer of a popular movie Ganga Chali Sasural has been murdered. Just before her death, Asha Kapoor was in her bedroom in a very vulnerable position, not feeling well at all. Sanjay Dheer and Dabloo Rawat (actor and director respectively) were waiting outside Asha Kapoor's bedroom for an hour, as they had to clear some monetary business with her. But when she didn't come out, they barged into the room and Asha said to them that she had not been feeling all right. Sanjay and Dabloo thought that she was just pretending/acting.

Malini brings a hot and fresh new case to Adi, just like two hot and fresh cups of coffee. But to Malini's surprise, Adi is not happy with this. It's more about the fact that she brought a cafe-bought coffee and less about her kind gesture. Ramlal Jain, the head of India's largest synthetic drug network, was found dead in an empty place at Madh Island. He was surrounded by synthetic drugs all around him. Apart from a new sofa, everything else in the room was covered with synthetic drugs.

Debraj Mukherjee was a Professor of English Literature at Hansraj college. He was loved by everyone, people adored him. The entire college respected him. But on his 48th birthday, he collapsed and died just 5 minutes after eating his birthday cake at his birthday party. Malini explains to Adi that Prof Debraj was accused of sexually exploiting a student, Seema, 10 years back. The same student had committed suicide and her family had charged him for that.

When the wedding bells ring, the air naturally gets filled with happiness and excitement, positivity and laughter. That is what Deepak Chaudhary and his family had also hoped. But alas, destiny had different plans. Deepak was dancing on the stage at his Sangeet and suddenly he collapsed on the ground, unresponsive. It is only after the autopsy was done, did they come to know that Deepak was actually poisoned. The poison was either consumed orally - eaten, inhaled, or touched.

One night when Adi is almost about to resign for the day, Malini hurries to his house. On asking her why she has come to his house so late instead of doing her duty and being present at the Maharashtra Mazdoor Ekta Sangathan, Malini blurts out that Babu Bhai aka Jallaludin Mollah is back. Babu Bhai was accused and guilty of smuggling 100 kg of RDX from Bangladesh to India, running away from the custody of Lucknow Police.

When alleged daughter Pooja Jain of governor Krishkant Rathudi goes missing, the media goes in a frenzy. The crime scene spills over some eccentric details and the evidence presented to Adi seems to have no connection with each other. The suspects in this case and the age difference between Governor Krishkant Rathudi and Pooja Jain leave Adi confused.

Malini usually brings her cases to Adi at his place, but this time, it is Adi who is present with Malini for the interrogation. After all, it's a big case. Chhaya Mantri, daughter of cricketer Yuvraj Mantri, got kidnapped in broad daylight from a crowded street in Juhu after her piano class. Adi suspects that it's an inside job, or else how could someone possibly kidnap Chhaya from a busy street without creating a ruckus?

The usual coffee shenanigans that we see Adi and Malini indulge in has been taken over by Chess. Naturally, Adi has the upper hand, making him win easily. Ranjana Singh, lead actress of a popular TV show was found dead in her vanity van. This time, the crime scene and the evidence are quite bizarre. Ranjana had strangulation marks around her neck, her 11th rib was cracked and cause of death mentions suffocation.

The cases that Malini solves are of strangers, without any connection to her. It helps in keeping her sanity in check, keeping things professional and at bay. However, the case of a Blue sapphire, Neel Kamal, the legacy of Maharajpur's royal family being stolen leaves Malini more nervous than usual. When she approaches Adi with this case, he tries to shut her off. It strikes a personal chord with Malini. Neel Kamal was stolen from a safe that is highly secured.

The entire city of Mumbai has gone dark. There's a power supply cut and hence no electricity. Malini believes that it's a cyber attack. But that may not be the sole reason why Adi was brought to the police station. An ancient dagger was stolen from Kala Ghoda Museum. Along with the dagger, some other things were found in the trunk of a stolen car. Since it's a precious artifact, Malini requires Adi's help to solve the case and figure out who's the real thief. It is Adi's knowledge of forensic science and quick thinking that help them find the real culprit.

Itwari Topo, the victim, may be an unusual person. Despite having a full-time job as a creative director of an ad agency, she claimed to be a Dayan (witch) out in the public. An unusual person can fall into the traps of an unusual case - as the murder has been caught on the camera. The cause of death was a severe electrical storm in her body as she was poisoned with aconitum. What Adi has to figure out is the motive of her murder.

Adi and Malini are gearing up for a concert when Malini breaks his reverie, bringing him back to reality. There's been a robbery worth Rs 22.5 crore from an armoured cash delivery truck. One would suspect that the robbers deviated from their usual route to do the dirty work but the truck was on its regular path. Adi's hunch says that it's an inside job. Who among the 4 suspects is the culprit?

There's a world of difference between playing detectives and being a real one to solve cases. When a bunch of pretend detectives/crime show junkies come together every now and then to host a 'Perfect Murder' Lunch Party, it's intellectually stimulating. But this time, there's an actual murder that has occurred and Adi has to do what he does best - crack the case.

When a full-time IT product manager turned to Stand Up Comic, Vivek Banerjee is found dead, the list of suspects that crop up are quite eccentric. The crime scene is utter chaos and the dead body's hands are folded in a way to make it look like it's asking for forgiveness, the cause of death being Blunt Force Trauma. The trouble for Malini is that there is no case, as there are no missing bodies. However, Som Veer is willing to talk to Adi and give details about his crimes - only if Adi indulges him and plays a game with him and wins.

A soldier's life is said to be celebrated - for his sacrifices to the country. But with Captain Anurag, it's a different story. Found dead in his own bedroom, Captain Anurag's death was nothing but uncertain, and twisted. Malini's team found the Captain dead in his own pool of blood - cause of death was a sudden blow to his head with a whiskey bottle. The list of suspects are Captain's inner circle and the evidence is nothing but a giant piece of puzzle. For Adi - he has to figure out why someone would kill a dedicated soldier, Captain Anurag?

When Malini came to Adi with the murder case of a top investment banker - Vikram rajput, Adi knew right off the bat that it was an unusual case. The crime scene shows signs of struggle and maybe an argument as well. Vikram was murdered with a single stab wound to his left eye. The forensics teams found some superficial scratches on his body. The list of suspects are people Vikram used to work with. Now it's Adi's job to find out the reason for Vikram's death. Usual office rage or something personal?

Integrity, presence of mind, and objectivity could possibly be the greatest aspects required to be a cop. But for Adi Bhagat, it's all that and so much more. Once when Malini asked the reason for Adi's interest in solving murder cases, he said that the victim's story deserves to be told. And one such story is of Anthony Roberts - who was found hanging dead in his own bedroom. Anthony had won a lottery ticket worth 5 crore rupees, so why did he hang himself in his bedroom? Was it suicide or did someone stages it?

Vivek and Vandana Seth cracked the tourism industry by expanding the target audience of travel content - that is until they were found dead in their house. The evidence at the crime scene and marks, rashes on their bodies clearly indicate a murder but the post-mortem report mentions kidney failure. Yet again, Malini brings another case of murder to Adi. She strongly feels it's a suicide, because it seems like there is no way out to dig further. To which Adi chides in and addresses that if it were a suicide in reality, Malini wouldn't have brought the case to him. This time, it's Nitesh Pillai, founder of an online education app. Just when he was at the peak of his career, he was found dead at a meditation centre in Madh.
