Salvador goes to Carolina to learn more about her past and discover what led her to abandon the daughter they had together. Carolina, after confronting the weight of her past by sharing what happened the day she abandoned her daughter, finds in Salvador a promise to be with her and bear the pain she's carried for so many years, to support her in her search for her daughter. After the difficult times Manuel and Carolina's marriage is going through, their son Carlos advises his father on how to deal with this pain and help them return to the close couple they once were. Salvador goes to his mother, María Luisa, after clearing things up with Carolina, to reprimand her for how unfair it was for her to control his life and not allow him to be with Carolina and the baby they had.
