As Cho Yong-pil declined to receive any more grand prizes, the hosting of the event became uncertain, but unlike MBC, the awards ceremony was held as is. However, this year, Cho Yong-pil did not appear in person, but appeared on a satellite broadcast screen. From this year, male/female singer awards were unified, and the choir and rock group categories were also abolished. It was broadcast simultaneously on KBS 1st Radio.
