Announcer Hwang In-yong took over as male MC for 4 consecutive years , and Wang Young-eun took over as female MC, making her the first non-announcer MC. This year, Kim Soo- cheol beat Jo Yong-pil to win the Male Singer Award, and Lee Eun- ha won the Female Singer Award. What is unusual is that none of the candidates for the female singer award have ever ranked first in the top 10 music charts .
