Tongzhi chose Baoyin as the queen, and Cixi opposed it for various reasons, which made the emperor very unhappy. Tongzhi knew that Cixi opposed him marrying Baoyin as the queen, all because of Ci'an, but because he could not accept Cixi's unreasonableness, he finally had a big quarrel with her. Lianying and Sanshun mistakenly collided and became the emperor and Baoyin's old man under the moon. He was even more worried about offending Cixi, and both felt uneasy. Tongzhi refused to give in and insisted that Lianying and Sanshun help him establish Baoyin as the queen. The two couldn't help but be in a dilemma. Dehai agreed to assist Tongzhi.
