Buenaventura begins to bleed after being shot and Maria tries to help him. While the farm's cook asks Violeta to bring some cloths to stop the bleeding, the foreman begins to say goodbye. Juan Cristóbal arrives to help the Echeñique's most faithful worker, but his injuries are so serious that he ends up losing his life in the arms of his wife and daughter. After a few hours, José Luis returns to the Moreno house and takes Buenaventura's body, even though neither Maria nor Violeta agree.
