Teresita is suffering from the effects of her illness and shows Juan Cristóbal the serious wounds she has. José Luis goes to the Moreno house and tells them that they will be his prisoners; if Manuel appears, he will let them live, but if not, they will die. Herminia tells her brother and Luis Emilio what is happening and the young man suggests turning himself in. Juan Cristóbal asks Ignacio to intervene for Teresita, because if she does not receive medical help soon, she could die. The next day, Manuel does not turn himself in and José Luis captures Violeta and takes her to the room to take advantage of her. However, Buenaventura's patience runs out and he confronts the boss, receiving a shot in his stomach.
