Forced to solve Mar's problems, Juan decides to steal his great-grandmother's jewels in order to replace Cecilia's perfume. Arturo surprises Valeria with the news that he bought her old house so that she will stop worrying about having a roof over her head. Valeria refuses to believe that Arturo's feelings for her are real and decides to reject the house so that it will not be bought. Ofelia is furious when she finds the engagement ring that Juan gave to Mar and berates him for being willing to sacrifice all his efforts for love.
