The villagers manage to process the coffee in time. But the merchant's henchmen scheme to destroy the coffee because the henchman doesn't want to honor the deal he has made. His henchmen manage to burn the coffee stock even though Chan and In are supposed to guard over it. Thor-fah rushes into the fire to save the coffee. Her action inspires the villagers to do the same to save their coffee. Thor-fah almost gets hurt when she goes in to save the last bag of the coffee. Khun-khao runs in to save her. They manage to save all of the coffee bags. Thor-fah and Khun-khao start to investigate the source of the fire and they suspect Arak, the merchant. They manage to call Arak's bluff and get compensation. Thor-fah falls sick from all the exertion. She recuperates at Khun-khao's house since his family has accepted her back.
