Dad is hauling home materials for the new sofa he wants to build for Mom as a Christmas present. Teacher Jansen gives the class a style because they don't want to make Christmas plays. The style has to be about Christmas. Stine wants to help Grunk write a letter to Santa Claus, but Grunk refuses, since Stine doesn't believe in Santa Claus.
