Year 2025 - A group of EXOFRAMES walk through the desert on the Mexican-American border. The people on board are forced to carry drugs in exchange for assistance crossing the border into the United States. One of them is a young girl who is given an amulet of Santa Muerte - the Saint of Death by the boy next to her. Then suddenly a mortar shell carrying a drone strikes. It's a hostile cartel's attack to take their cargo. The only survivors are the boy, the girl, and their coyote - an illegal border crossing guide.
