Roasting (4x1)
Exibido em:: Jan 03, 2008
Roasting is a quick and efficient method of intensifying flavors. On this episode of Everyday Food, we turn up the heat and roast meats, vegetables, fish and fruit. Allie begins by roasting butternut squash, new potatoes, carrots and onions for our Roasted Fall Vegetables, which then become the star of our delicious Roasted Fall Vegetable and Ricotta Pizza. Today's Have You Tried ingredient is Brussels Sprouts. Lucinda roasts them in the oven with fresh salmon fillets for our Roasted Salmon with Brussels Sprouts. For a quick and comforting Cooking for One meal, Emma prepares Roasted Chicken with New Potatoes and Arugula. Sarah wows us with Roasted Pork with Black-Eyed Pea Salad. The pork is seasoned with a zesty spice rub and roasted to perfection. And for dessert, Margot prepares Roasted Fruit. Baked with fresh rosemary and limejuice, the stone fruit are roasted until soft and tender, and then spooned over vanilla ice cream. It's simple cooking that results in a big payoff on Everyday Food.
