Disputes over poor medical treatment between doctors and patients, stemming from chronic overcrowding, the high cost of healthcare, and a lack of doctor-to-patient communication, have become a growing issue in China, with tens of thousands of cases reported over the past 3 years alone.
The problem has become so bad that the government decided to create a system where third-party mediators stand between doctors and patients to conduct investigations.
