As anyone in New Orleans could tell you, when times are tough, family and friends are more important than anything in the world. Those bonds shine when the brother of a paramedic gets sucker punched and a pair of best friends are both in an accident. After one of the newer members of the Nightwatch comforts a suicidal patient, he reflects on the bonds he's forged in his first year in New Orleans.
