Outback Adventures With Tim Faulkner

Tim travels to Kangaroo Island to explore how koala populations are being protected. Back at the Reptile Park, Tim encounters a blue-tongue lizard with a bizarre physical abnormality.

Tim travels to the Dryandra Woodland in Western Australia to find out what is being done to save the endangered numbat population. Along the way, he encounters a Mitchell’s short-tailed snake and meets some baby woylies.

Tim makes the rounds at the Reptile Park with his oldest son, Billy, where they interact with kangaroos, crocodiles, pythons, dingos, and parrots.

Tim visits Rottnest Island where he finds quokkas, king skinks and Australian fur seals. On the mainland, he visits the Western Australian Conservation Center, which is home to endangered woylies.

Tim travels to Cape Leveque in Western Australia to visit his friend Brian Lee where he discovers new uses for seashells, finds exotic creatures and learns a little aboriginal history.

Tim details the most dangerous jobs around the reptile park, including cleaning the alligator lagoon, entering the cassowaries enclosure and milking a king brown snake.

Tim journeys to South Australia to help with conservation of the southern hairy nosed wombat. Along the way he finds an Australian owlet-nightjar and travels back to the Park for the historic hatching of rare dwarf king brown snake eggs.

Tim returns to Kangaroo Island for new adventures with the mysterious echidna, a colony of sea lions, and a mob of the hopping marsupials for which the island is named.

Tim journeys to southern Queensland to learn more about frog conservation efforts and to search for some of the region’s endangered amphibians in the Gold Coast Hinterland.

Tim provides care to two kangaroo joey orphans and brings them home to meet the family, and he checks in on some new dingo pups recently born at the Reptile Park.

Tim travels north to Queensland to witness loggerhead sea turtles laying eggs and their hatchlings making their first journey into the ocean. In Western Australia, Tim helps remove a king brown snake from a resident’s shed.

Tim welcomes two bilby babies and gives them a check-up, and travels to Watagans National Park to help capture deadly funnel-web spiders for the Reptile Park venom program.

Tim travels to the Dampier Peninsula in Western Australia where he finds a variety of lizards and snakes; closer to home, he visits Hunter Valley Zoo to assist with antelope grooming.

On this week’s Outback Adventures, mischievous emus at the Reptile Park must be caught and relocated, and troublesome alligators must be tagged for identification.

Tim goes on a shark adventure and climbs in the water and also visits a bird sanctuary on Kangaroo Island to get up close to a Wedge Tailed Eagle.

Tim explores the frogs of Watagans National Park, researches the red-backed toadlet and discovers the unique features of Fraser Island.

On today’s Outback Adventures, Tim rescues a diamond python from a family’s drainpipe and travels to South Australia to look for the pygmy bluetongue skink, a rare lizard long believed to be extinct.

Tim travels to Western Australia and uncovers the mysteries of Roebuck Bay, from curious creatures hidden in the mud to the thousands of migrating birds to a newly discovered dolphin species.
