The team is investigating the disappearance of its own commissioner, Tine Peeters. Her husband Dirk is able to provide them with a facial composition of a man he recently spotted watching their house. The drawing is a perfect match to Jan Degraeve, a condemned murderer whose case belonged to Tine back when she was working as a homicide detective. When they discover that Degraeve was recently released on parole and is now nowhere to be found, Tine's colleagues believe her life to be in danger.
