Parvati apologises to Mahadev for not following his advice. Mahadev tells her that due to the same, their powers gave birth to a blind child, Andhaka. He worries about his existence in the universe and predicts about his bad future. Lord Brahma enlightens about Andhaka to Narad. The deities and Nandi become tormented on learning about the disappearance of Mahadev's power. Hiranyaksha enlightens his sons about Andhaka. He becomes sad on learning that Andhaka killed one his sons.
