Erotic novelist Toru Anzai (Masahiko Tsugawa) knows his young wife Kaori (Rieko Miura) is having an affair with his editor Hideki Saito (Shigeki Hosokawa), but pretends not to notice. Anzai continues to train his golden retriever Mangoro that was entrusted to him by Furuhata in the meantime. Furuhata later arrives at Anzai's cabin after receiving a faxed invitation, but neither Anzai nor Kaori recall ever sending Furuhata a fax.
