I start day 2 soaking wet in the rain, leaving Italy and Austria behind me and reaching Germany. The first checkpoint and stamp await me in Munich before I head through hills and into a golden sunset. Day 3 brings early deliberations about the route choice, a detour to Czechia, more rain, and cheering spectators on the side of the road.
