Pei Su survives, and with the Zhou Group case resolved, criticism of the Special Investigation Department subsides. Pei Su visits Zhou Huai Jing, who was also hospitalized, in his hospital room and shares his doubts about the case. Meanwhile, a woman visits Pei Su's hospital room. The woman says she is Luo Wei Zhao's neighbor and has been entrusted with a gift. Then, on the day Pei Su is discharged from the hospital, Luo Wei Zhao invites him to his apartment. Seeing Luo Wei Zhao's black cat brings back certain memories for Pei Su.
