Mercedes points a gun at José Luis and demands that he release Herminia. The boss takes his sister-in-law straight to the hacienda and asks her why he let the ex-prostitute go and she explains that Violeta's aunt was the reason why her daughter wanted to live. Teresita hears that José Luis wants to kill Manuel and is surprised. La Morena returns and tries to free Manuel, just when José Luis enters the barn, knocks her down and realizes that it was always Teresita. Herminia sneaks into Aunt Carmen's house and as revenge for Lucrecia's death, she makes a mark on her face. Teresita is examined by Juan Cristóbal and when she is left alone with her father, she begs him to forgive her.
