Ewan's uncle comes to visit Effie, and tries to seduce her, but she is uncomfortable with it. Niall confesses to Sally that he did not arrive in Glendarroch by accident, and that he is searching for his father. Effie tells Jockie about what happened, and he goes to confront Robert.
